The New Pink

The New Pink is a blog (an online diary, or magazine in this case) which is aimed at girls between 18 and 40. The site will review anything that girls between these ages find interesting – just like buying a magazine from a shop, The New Pink will cover all the latest celebrity goss, new gadgets, the latest beauty products, fashion, health and nutrition advice, new mobiles … the list is endless! But what sets The New Pink apart from print magazines is that firstly, the blog is updated daily which means you don’t have to wait a whole month to read the next issue, and secondly, it’s free!

We encourage our visitors to have their own input on most of the websites we build, and The New Pink is no exception. On each article that we post, there is a ‘comments’ section in which anyone using the Internet is able to fill out. We love hearing back on what you think about the topics we cover – whether you agree that a mobile we’ve blogged is as fab as we think it is, or if you disagree with anything we write. We are also happy to allow girls across the world to write their own posts on The New Pink if they wish; simply contact us and we’ll set you up with an account.

Below is a little taster of a few of the articles written in The New Pink:

Lay-z-Spa - aka The Inflatable Hot Tub! ... posted under Gadgets, Health/Nutrition on July 28th

I’ve always dreamt of living in a huge house with a gym, pool, hot tub etc etc … (I know - stop dreaming) but now, thanks to Bestway, at least one of these is within my reach. Lay-z-Spa is the brand new, affordable spa - which apparently takes just ten minutes to set up before you can add water. It has room for four adults and is portable - it can therefore be used at home, at a friends house, camping or wherever else you fancy. Once out of the box, you simply need to attach the pump to a standard UK socket, add water and set to the desired temperature. Within 12 hours the Lay-z-Spa inflatable hot tub is ready to be enjoyed. For £499 (or less if you look around), I know where I’ll be spending my winter …

The Break Up ... posted under TV/Films, Relationships/Life on August 1st

After a lot of thought I have decided that The Break-up is my joint favourite film this year along with ‘Over the Hedge’. It is a definite must see that will have you laughing and crying all the way through. Jennifer Aniston (Brook) and Vince Vaughn (Gary) play a young loving couple whose relationship takes a turn for the worst resulting in a break up. Both characters are stubborn, witty and refuse to let the other get the better of them. Neither character will move out of their shared condo therefore we have to watch their struggle to live together before they eventually decide to sell. The compilation of these humorous events makes their relationship extremely amusing to watch!

Their true feelings are exposed at the end of the film which will no doubt leave a tear in your eye. I advise you go and see this with your friends; your boyfriend will probably not appreciate the film the way you gals will! Total chick flick, you will all love it!

Projector Keyboard ... posted under Gadgets, Web/Tech on August 22nd...

I came across this futuristic looking gadget on iwantoneofthose.com and was instantly mesmerised by how ultramodern I’d look with one of my own. Imagine pulling out your projector keyboard in the pub and casually using it as though it was just a mobile – as the tag line on the website says “stuff you don’t need… but you really really want” – so true.

This i.Tech Virtual Keyboard is Bluetooth enabled and uses infrared to project a keyboard onto your desktop, and then transfers your keystrokes via wireless networking to your PDA, Pocket PC or smart phone – sounds far too good to be true. But what shocked me most was the price. This gadget is currently selling for £119.00 – for something so unique I would have thought it would be far more expensive.
