Scoubiguide was launched to fill a gap in the market for children interested in the scoubidou craze. Children across the globe became mad about the colourful strings and wanted to find out more about the different stitches possible and fun ways to build the stitches up into animals, letters and shapes - so Scoubiguide was set up.
The website explains what scoubidous are (useful for parents who have no idea!), how to get started and detailed instructions for 12 different stitches – from the Chinese Stitch to the Tornado Stitch. The instructions are step by step and there are photographs all the way through to help guide children.
There is also a gallery for children to send in photos of their own creations and have their name and age displayed underneath – this is a popular page on our site and encourages children to be creative! The scoubidou competition also attracts a lot of interest and the owner of the longest scoubidou wins two free packets of scoubi strings - again, this encourages children to use their creative skills and put their new stitches into practice.
