Counselling Directory

Counselling Directory is a comprehensive database of UK counsellors, with information on their training and experience, areas of counselling covered, fees and contact details. The purpose of this website is ultimately to provide the UK with a huge counselling support network, enabling those in distress to find a counsellor close to them and appropriate for their needs. This is a free, confidential service that will hopefully encourage those in distress to seek help. The website also contains a number of sections on emotional disorders (such as anxiety, bereavement, depression etc.)

Every counsellor on the site who has submitted their profile has either sent a copy of their qualifications and insurance cover to us, or is registered with a professional body online with recognised codes of ethics and practice, this way we can be assured of their professionalism. Therefore Counselling Directory differs from most online directories, as effort is taken to ensure the counsellors are qualified and/or registered with a recognised body – which means visitors on our site feel secure in their choice of counsellor.

A new feature on our website allows searches to be made to suit individual needs; simply choose your region from a dropdown list and then select the type of distress you require counselling for and all the counsellor’s fitting those specific requirements will be found. No other directories provide this facility, which makes Counselling Directory stand out from the rest.

Recently we have also included a blog on the website. This is updated daily and covers a whole range of topics, such as addictions, abuse, anger, depression, relationships, stress, mental health etc. which visitors on our site may find interesting. Further to this, is our statistics page, which we hope will make visitors realise they are not suffering alone.
